Rainwater Harvesting and Recirculation of Grey Water
The efficient water management is also achieved by implementation of rainwater harvesting and grey water recirculation processes in AquaSmart systems. Stored and treated rainwater or sewage water can be used to water a garden or flush the toilet. Rainwater can also be used for hygiene purposes, making it an attractive alternative to tap water, which is usually hard. It is commonly known that rainwater is much more sensitive for hair or skin and it does not cause dryness or irritations. The use of rainwater also eliminates the problem with scaling of installations or household appliances. The rainwater harvesting or grey water recirculation processes smartly managed with the use of digital tools ensure 90 % saving on tap water.
Multi-stages Treatment Processes
Technological treatment schemes depend on the degree of contamination of water and can include one-stage or multi-stage processes. The most often applied methods are mechanical filters, ultrafiltration, UV sterilization, biological treatment plants, UF treatment plants and ozonation. If the quality of well water or pipe water does not meet standards, reverse osmosis can be used to improve its parameters, for example, turbidity, micro-organic contamination, TDS. The use of rainwater requires at least prefiltration, ultrafiltration and UV sterilization. When rainwater will be used only for irrigation the mechanical filtration is sufficient. Sewage water treated in a biological treatment plant can also be used for watering garden. However, the UF treatment plant is recommended, especially when directing water to sprinklers. Using grey water for flushing toilets means that the technological schemes involve biological and UF treatment plant. The water in retention tank should be ozonated as it prevents the loss of quality of stored water.

Exemplary Installations of Rainwater and Grey Water Systems
AquaSmart Systems can be scaled with regard to the size and the function of a building. They can be installed in a small house designed for seasonal use only or in big public or corporal buildings.
