It meets the requirements specified in the regulations and visually gives the impression of clean water. However, the degradation of the natural environment and human activity make the scope and type of pollution \u00a0increase rapidly. Currently, the most effective method of removing all contaminants from water is reverse osmosis (RO). The foundations of this technology have roots in the past. The first systems appeared in the 1960s and it was developed as a way to purify seawater. At the beginning the technology was used mainly in large-budget investments due to high const of implementation and maintenance. TDS sensors are the most frequently used for this purpose as TDS is a widely recognized parameter of water quality, monitored in industrial processes, laboratories and water treatment units. They measure the content of dissolved solids in water. These substances may include salts, minerals, heavy metals and other contaminants which are in dissolved form. They use the electrical conductivity of water as an indicator of solids content. The main idea is that the more dissolved substances there are in water, the greater its electrical conductivity. Conductivity sensors measure this conductivity and convert it to a TDS value. The technical parameters are also monitored in real-time.
